Biosafety
The seal is the nation's property, run by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Tourism (Mincit). It is duly registered with the Superintendence of Industry and Commerce (SIC) and is supported by the general biosafety protocols (Resolution 666 of 2020 issued by the Ministry of Health), the specific protocols for each sector and the National Quality System (SICAL).
- It is an evaluation to verify the implementation and application of biosafety protocols to minimize risks for workers, clients, visitors and suppliers.
Who can use it?
- Airlines
- Tourism services registered in the RNT (National Tourism Registry) and commercial establishments.
- Tourist attractions
- Other businesses that meet the protocols.
Goal
- Build trust.
- To provide guidance and standards to workers, users, visitors and suppliers.
- To prevent the spread of Covid-19.
Other considerations
- The certification seal is obtained voluntarily.
- If any certified tourism provider does not implement biosecurity protocols, they will be liable for criminal prosecution.
