7:00 AM: We will pick you up at your hotel if it is located between Calle 85 and Calle 127 and between Carrera 7 and Autopista Norte. Otherwise, the meeting point is at Hotel Andes (Carrera 15 # 100 - 11). The tour will start with a panoramic view of the north of the city.
8:30 AM: Visit the Guatavita Lake, one of the 7 sacred lakes for the indigenous community related to the celebration of the ritual handover of power from one cacique to the new one. Due to its symbolic and spiritual charge, the lake was the epicenter of hundreds of gratitude and payment rituals, which is why it became interesting for the ambition of the Spanish culture during the colonization.
12:30 PM: After this majestic visit, we will go to the Zipaquirá municipality.
2:00 PM: We will start visiting the underground salt cathedral, built inside the mountain by miners in honor of the Virgin of Guasá. It is 180 meters deep and covers an area of 8,500 m2, and it is also known as the first wonder of Colombia.
3:30 PM: We will walk through the galleries of the mine as we enter the Cathedral; we will be impressed by its tunnels, the gigantic crosses carved in salt crystals, and its main chamber, which can host up to ten thousand believers.
6:30 PM: End of the visit and return to Bogotá city.
