Salsa al Parque Festival

Dance, music, and creativity come together in this festival, which has presented great national and international talents over its 24 editions, turning Bogotá into a large dance floor. On October 5 and 6, the Simón Bolívar Metropolitan Park will come alive with rhythm and flavor as it hosts the Salsa al Parque Festival. This year, the festival will explore into the theme of "The other neighborhood of salsa: music's relationship with the city."

LIBÉLULA DORADA BLUES AND JAZZ FESTIVAL

The first Libélula Dorada Blues and Jazz Festival was launched in 1998, lasting two and a half months, as a result of a growing movement of groups of these musical genres in Bogotá. During all these years, a growing audience has been formed and qualified through different cultural initiatives.

It seeks to emphasize the importance and evolution of these musical genres in the country, as well as to foster and promote new groups that, together with those already established, allow them to show and increase their experience.

Rodrigo Cuevas, Spain - La romería

The Spanish artist Rodrigo Cuevas is a musical and performing arts phenomenon. He has collaborated with artists such as Rozalén, iLE, Vicente Navarro, and Clara Peya. In his studio albums, he has been known for giving folk music from Asturias, in northern Spain, an important place in the sounds of the world by making it interact with electronic music, humor, sensuality, and social criticism.

The show will present his most recent album, "Manual de romería," produced by the Puerto Rican Eduardo Cabra, in a performance that will break with all the previous imaginary. 

Launch of the Petronio Álvarez Pacific Music Festival

The Petronio Álvarez Pacific Music Festival, which takes place annually in Cali (Colombia), is the major Afro-culture festival in Latin America. As a tradition, the national launch of the festival is held in Bogotá with the participation of the four winning groups of the previous edition in the categories of best marimba and traditional singing ensemble, best shawm ensemble, best Caucano violin ensemble, and best free ensemble.

Downtown Festival

This festival, with 15 years of history, has consolidated itself as a benchmark for musical and cultural diversity in the Colombian capital. This year's edition will host 48 bands and musical projects that will perform on 12 stages distributed throughout Bogotá's downtown. Among the emblematic venues that will host this event are the Muelle de la FUGA, the National Center of Arts, and La Media Torta. It will also include independent venues that will offer a unique musical experience.
