Fado Festival 2024 - Co-production of Alto e Bom Som and Everything is New - Raquel Tavares

The Fado Festival is returning to Bogotá on November 9 and 10, 2024! This year, the festival will feature two outstanding artists of traditional Portuguese music: António Zambujo on November 9 and Raquel Tavares on November 10. The central theme of the festival is "Fado and Freedom," in commemoration of the 50th anniversary of the Carnation Revolution. In addition to the concerts, the festival will showcase the film "The Consul of Bordeaux," directed by Francisco Manso and João Correa, a lecture titled "Fado and Freedom" by Rodrigo Costa Félix, and an exhibition called "Freedom and Fado," curated by the Fado Museum.

How to get there?

• Private vehicle: If you are traveling from the south to the north on Autopista Norte or Carrera Septima, take a right onto Calle 169 and then head west on Avenida Boyacá. If you are coming from the north to the south, turn west onto Calle 170 until you reach the Cultural Center. If you are traveling from the south to the north on Avenida Boyacá, you can reach Calle 170 and then make a right turn. The theater will be two blocks ahead.
• TransMilenio: Take any Line B route to Portal Norte, then take feeder bus 2-7 San José and get off at the seventh stop.
• SITP: Take any Line B or C route to Barrio San José V Sector (Calle 169b - Carrera 67) Stop to find the theater.
