La Grande Chapelle is a vocal and instrumental ensemble of early music focused on recovering the great Spanish works composed between the 16th and 18th centuries. They will perform at the Teatro Mayor, a program of works by composers such as Carlos Patiño, Juan Hidalgo, and Sebastián Durón that were very popular in the courts of Philip IV. These are baroque songs and carols with an authentic poetic style that characterized the Hispanic aesthetics of the time. The concert is part of the International Festival of Sacred Music of Bogotá.

The National Symphony Orchestra of Colombia and the National Choir of Colombia will perform Gustav Mahler's "Symphony No. 2", also known as "Resurrection," a choral symphony that depicts in its movements some existential and human questions about life and death.
