Foundational Square of Usme

 

The Foundational Square of Usme, situated in the heart of this historic district of Bogotá, has been a witness to urban and social transformations since the Spanish colonization. Originally established as a gathering and commerce point, the square preserves its colonial style with a central fountain surrounded by green areas, stone benches, and buildings that blend the old and the modern. This space reflects the origins of Usme and serves as a living testament to its evolution over the centuries.

 

VI International Permanent Seminar on Gender and Peace Education

The event organized by the Universidad Nacional Abierta y a Distancia (UNAD) aims to foster reflection on the relationship between education, gender, and collective peace through academic analysis. From October 22 to November 1, at the José Celestino Mutis building (one of the university campuses), attendees will learn about the experiences, processes, and challenges faced by experts.

Fritanga Fest

Yo marcho Trans

From the Cuidad Bolivar House of Culture, the 9th version of "Yo Marcho Trans" will be held under the slogan "Memory, Life, and Resilience."  There will be artistic exhibitions and ventures.

It is the first time that this march will take place in Ciudad Bolivar, expanding its importance and visibility in the city. Through this event, the commitment to memory, life, and resilience of the trans community is reaffirmed.
 

South Pride March

The IDARTES - Institute for the Arts is supporting a troupe of 25 artists and a batucada that will join the three LGBTI pride marches, which will begin on July 23 at the XVI South LGBTI Pride March in front of the Amapola Jones LGBTI House.

The day will start at 10:00 a.m. with a service fair and a sharing of a salpicón. Under the slogan "Peace dresses in diversity, art, and colors," the march will depart to El Tunal Park at 12:30 p.m., where there will be a stage of artists and a truck of the Super Mix Radio with 14 artists and entrepreneurs livening up the event.
