With a career spanning nearly four decades, Grammy-winning violinist Joshua Bell is one of the most acclaimed musicians of our time. He has performed with major orchestras and collaborated with artists across various genres. Bell remains active as a soloist, chamber musician, recitalist, conductor, and music director of the Academy of St Martin in the Fields.
In his return to the stage at the Teatro Mayor, he will showcase what the New York Times has described as "his trademark bright sound, effortless virtuosity, and freedom of improvisation," alongside pianist Peter Dugan. The program will include Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's "Violin Sonata No. 21 in E minor, K. 304," Mozart's "Fantasy in C major for violin and piano, Op. posth. 159," Franz Schubert’s "Violin Sonata No. 1 in A major, Op. 13," and works by Gabriel Fauré.
