Lope de Vega was an outstanding comedy writer in the service of the description of love. His female characters fought for the freedom to love and live as they wished. They seduce us with their intelligence, tenderness, and tenacity; they are determined individuals who championed personal freedom as vital for shaping one's identity during the 16th and 17th centuries, a period when self-formation started to be key. Fenisa, the main character of the comedy '"La discreta enamorada," exemplifies the author's unwavering belief in individual freedom and his mastery of the comedy genre.

How to get there?: 

• By private vehicle: if you are driving from the south to the north on Autopista Norte or Carrera Septima, you will need to turn onto Calle 169 and then head west on Avenida Boyacá. If you are coming from the north to the south, turn west onto Calle 170 until you reach the Cultural Center. If you are coming from south to north on Boyacá Avenue, you can take Calle 170 and then turn right. Two blocks ahead, you will find the Julio Mario Santo Domingo Theater.
• TransMilenio: Take any route of Line B that leaves you at the Portal Norte; there, you must take the feeder bus 2-7 San José and get off at the seventh stop.
• SITP: Take any route of Line B or C that leaves you at the stop Barrio San José V Sector (Calle 169b - Carrera 67). There, you will find the theater.
