As part of the celebration of Bogota's 486th anniversary, the city invites you to enjoy the parade of classic and antique cars on August 31.
The event will start at 9:30 a.m. The route will begin at the parking lot of the Salitre Mágico Park and continue along Calle 63, Carrera 7, and Calle 134 until reaching its destination at the Paseo San Rafael Shopping Center.
This event is a tribute to the city's transportation evolution and a journey through time. From elegant sedans from the 30s to iconic sports cars from the 70s, each vehicle tells a story that reflects the evolution of Bogota. The parade will feature 200 vehicles, including iconic models such as Jorge Eliécer Gaitán's Chevrolet Bel Air and Gabriel García Márquez's Volkswagen Beetle, among others.
It will be a fantastic parade that promises to surprise the whole family and celebrate the 486 years of the city's history.
- How yto get there?
To arrive to Salitre Mágico Park (starting point), you can do it in the following way:
- By private vehicle: take Calle 63 to Avenida Carrera 60 and follow the signs to the park. Try to find a nearby parking lot, since the park's parking lot will not be available.
- TransMilenio: take a bus on Line K to get to Calle 26 main line, get off at the Salitre el Greco station, and take a SITP route that goes along Calle 68 northbound. Get off at the stop located just in front of the Salitre Mágico Park main entrance and walk to the parking lot.
- SITP: you can take the articulated buses that operate along Calle 68 or Calle 63, depending on your location. From north or south along Calle 68, you can take buses on lines B, K, D, or Z. Along Calle 63, check the available routes and detours you can take because it will be closed for the parade.
Note: As it is a route, those who would like to attend can gather at the starting point, the parking lot of Salitre Mágico Park, or at the designated places along the streets where the parade will pass.
