This is undoubtedly one of the best tourist attraction combinations near Bogotá. The day begins with a visit to the Guatavita Lake, known as the place where the Muiscas made the ritual that originated the El Dorado legend. This place has a stunning beauty that you can only understand by visiting it. Afterward, we cross the savannah to arrive at the Zipaquirá municipality. Here, you will visit the first wonder of Colombia, the Salt Cathedral, a place you should not miss when you come to Colombia.

Known as the first wonder of Colombia, it is entirely carved in salt and is unique in the country.

The Salt Cathedral —located 180 meters underground— will give you an out-of-the-ordinary experience. It was initially a mine where the workers created a small chapel; however, they never imagined that it would become a must-see attraction for visitors. 

Each step in the cathedral will surprise you, from the Way of the Cross to the Choir and a balcony from where you can appreciate the tallest underground cross in the world, which measures 16 meters high and 10 meters wide.

You will take a beautiful walk through the Cruz Verde Paramo, surrounded by imposing mountains, until you arrive at the Santa Monica Hot Springs, where you will enjoy the curative waters of this place and a relaxing and invigorating SPA.
