Agroecological Farmers' Market

Next weekend, between July 1 and 2, the Agroecological Farmers' Market will be back. The sample will be from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at José Celestino Mutis Botanical Garden. So, come with your basket and get ready to participate in this event. 

This initiative strengthens the farmers' economy and contributes to food security in the city and the regions. It gives the opportunity to access new market segments and fosters the participation and construction of social fabric and the exchange of experiences and knowledge among gardeners.

¡Vive la salsa!

The excitement among salsa lovers increases with the incredible lineup of artists that will be performing at the ¡Vive la salsa! Festival of Festivals. The event will take place for the first time at Simon Bolívar Park on June 21 and 22.

Joropo al Parque Festival

The llanera culture is the star of this festival, which has presented innovative performances and the best exponents of this musical genre in its two editions. Attendees will enjoy the "Cantos del trabajo del Llano," recognized as the Cultural Heritage of Humanity, a "Llanódromo" and tributes to tradition.

LIBÉLULA DORADA BLUES AND JAZZ FESTIVAL

The first Libélula Dorada Blues and Jazz Festival was launched in 1998, lasting two and a half months, as a result of a growing movement of groups of these musical genres in Bogotá. During all these years, a growing audience has been formed and qualified through different cultural initiatives.

It seeks to emphasize the importance and evolution of these musical genres in the country, as well as to foster and promote new groups that, together with those already established, allow them to show and increase their experience.

Rodrigo Cuevas, Spain - La romería

The Spanish artist Rodrigo Cuevas is a musical and performing arts phenomenon. He has collaborated with artists such as Rozalén, iLE, Vicente Navarro, and Clara Peya. In his studio albums, he has been known for giving folk music from Asturias, in northern Spain, an important place in the sounds of the world by making it interact with electronic music, humor, sensuality, and social criticism.

The show will present his most recent album, "Manual de romería," produced by the Puerto Rican Eduardo Cabra, in a performance that will break with all the previous imaginary. 

Launch of the Petronio Álvarez Pacific Music Festival

The Petronio Álvarez Pacific Music Festival, which takes place annually in Cali (Colombia), is the major Afro-culture festival in Latin America. As a tradition, the national launch of the festival is held in Bogotá with the participation of the four winning groups of the previous edition in the categories of best marimba and traditional singing ensemble, best shawm ensemble, best Caucano violin ensemble, and best free ensemble.
