If you're one of those travelers who enjoy visiting museums during your vacations, you can't miss the celebration that Bogotá has prepared for you

This year marks the fifth edition of the Night of the Museums, taking place on November 8. Attendees can look forward to more than 80 activities in approximately 50 museums and cultural venues, many of which will engage in cultural and artistic exchanges with over 30 Ibero-American museums from countries including Cuba, Panama, Ecuador, Bolivia, Paraguay, Uruguay, and Portugal.

Since 2021, this initiative has been led by the Secretariat of Culture, Recreation, and Sports of Bogotá, the District Institute of Cultural Heritage, and the Museum of Bogotá. This event is part of the second edition of the Ibero-American Night of Museums, which will take place on the same date.

The event is part of Bogotá's 24/7 strategy, which aims to promote productive and cultural activities at unconventional hours, enhance accessibility, and encourage citizen participation in cultural, recreational, and sporting events. It also seeks to strengthen the creative ecosystem by fostering synergies with the commercial sector to activate nightlife.

This year, both residents of Bogotá and tourists will have the opportunity to explore various museums across the city. Participants can create routes, tours, and visits to cultural institutions located in the north, center, south, east, and west areas of Bogotá. These include the Museum of Colombian Athletics, the Museum of Science and Games at the National University, the Graphic Arts Museum of the National Printing House of Colombia (MAG), the MURO Museum of the Universidad del Rosario, the National Museum of Colombia, the Castle of the Arts of the District Institute of the Arts (Idartes), Maloka, the Bancolombia Art Gallery, the Museum of Bogotá, and the Museum of the Self-Built City, among others.

The Night of Museums in Bogotá is an initiative organized by the Thematic Board of Museums of Bogotá, which has established networks for participation, exchange, and advocacy among the various museums in the city. Each edition of this event enhances the availability of cultural services and encourages citizens to reclaim the night and public spaces
