Bogotá will dress up to host one of the eagerly awaited artistic events of the year from October 4 to 14, 2024: the International Festival of Living Arts (FIAV).
This world-renowned event will turn our city into a space of creativity, expression, and diversity, showcasing nearly 100 shows from around the world. Streets, halls, squares, and parks throughout the city will come alive with colorful shows that offer locals and visitors an unforgettable cultural experience. FIAV is not just a festival; it's a gathering of the best in international living art. With the participation of representatives from five continents, 14 guest countries, and 28 global companies, Bogotá will witness an artistic celebration featuring theater and dance to circus, opera, performance, and new technologies. Over 400 artists will take the stage across 35 locations and 20 parks, transforming them into platforms for the living arts to shine in all their splendor.
It is noteworthy that more than over ten performances will be presented free of charge in various public spaces of the city, allowing people of all ages to engage with art in its purest form.
A festival for the whole family
The event also features a diverse schedule of activities for the youngest members of the family. Children and their families will have the opportunity to enjoy performances by "Hilos Mágicos Company," celebrating its 50th anniversary with ten of its favorite children's stories. Additionally, they will be enchanted by the magic of groups such as "Libélula Dorada" and "Espacio T," offering charming stories that will enthrall the imagination of the little ones.
