Located to the west, Fontibón is town number 9 in the Capital District. Its geographical characteristics are of great importance for the balance of the Bogota ecosystem. It is surrounded by important bodies of water such as the Bogotá and Fucha rivers and the San Antonio stream; in addition, there are the wetlands of Capellanía and Meandro del Say, among others.
