SAFETY IN THE CITY

Bogotá is home to nearly 9 million inhabitants from all country regions. The capital is the most important business, economic and social epicenter in Colombia, making security conditions variable.

Nevertheless, the city has a capable police force, a robust institutional framework, and bodies that operate to achieve peaceful, respectful and harmonious environments and interactions.

Some of the current initiatives in the city to provide safe conditions are houses of justice, police presence, the creation of care networks and security fronts, prevention campaigns, dialogue and coexistence managers, among others.
