It is one of the largest shopping centers in Latin America, it has more than 230,000 square meters, distributed in a space designed so that you can find what you are looking for in its 434 commercial stores.
It is located in the southern area of Bogotá, in the Villa Mayor neighborhood, on one of the main roads: Avenida NQS, south of the capital. It opened its doors in March 2010 and was recognized as the largest store in Latin America, after Leste Avicanduva, Sao Paulo (Brazil) and Mall Florida in Santiago (Chile).
One of the attractions of Centro Mayor is its theme and circus construction design, which is reflected in the colorful roofs, circus tents and internal squares, alluding to the iconography and the protagonists of a circus; In fact, its squares are named as: the Plaza del Contortionista, Plaza del Equilibrista, Plaza del Juggler, Plaza del Accordionista, Plaza del Mago, Plaza del Bufón, Plazas del Payaso and the Plaza de Eventos; In each of these spaces you will find characters that exceed four meters in height and that evoke the circus theme.
